Award Recognition

Honored at EMU's Annual Awards Ceremony

The scholarship recipient will be formally recognized at the Department of Africology and African American Studies' annual end-of-year celebration and awards ceremony each April. GABA Foundation leadership attends the ceremony to personally present the award to the recipient, before an audience of students, faculty, alumni, and community stakeholders. Applications close March 26, 2027 to allow sufficient time for review and selection before the April ceremony.
