Why We Give

Our founders built the foundation. Our scholars will build on it.

Each scholarship carries the name of a GABA co-founder, and the values they lived: global achievement and grassroots leadership. Investing in students is how a research institute builds the next generation of thinkers, practitioners, and leaders who will study and serve our community.

Global achievementSupporting students whose studies open doors to careers that connect our communities with the world.
Grassroots leadershipRecognizing students already driving change in their own neighborhoods.
A lasting pipelineBuilding relationships with the scholars who will carry diaspora research and service forward.
